FG WARNS AGAINST DISCRIMINATION AGAINST INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS .... Distributes Drugs, Other Essential Health Materials Worth Millions Of Naira To IDP Camps In Abuja

..... Advises Coordinators of the two IDPs camps to take the opportunity of the Federal Governments' gesture to use the drugs and other valuable health  materials judiciously for the benefit of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDP's.


Nigerians have been urged to desist from displaying a nonchalant attitude toward the plights of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and instead, show them affection through their wealth and kindness. 

Making this appeal is the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammed Alli Pate, CON during the distribution of drugs and essential health materials to IDPs camps in Kuchigoro, Life camp and Durumi IDPs Camp, Area 1, Abuja respectively.

The Minister who was represented by the Director of Special Project, Dr. Charles Nzelu, reiterated the government's preparedness toward accessibility to free drugs and other health materials in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's  administration.

Dr. Nzelu advised the coordinators of the two IDPs camps to take the opportunity of the Federal Governments' gesture to use the drugs and other valuable health  materials judiciously for the benefit of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDP's.  

He promised of government's continuous efforts to providing an enabling environment for its citizenry through  health care services.

In their separate responses, Mr. Luka Yathuma of Kuchigoro IDP's Camp, commended the federal government for this initiative at this crucial time. 

He maintained that the government needs to do more to reduce the sufferings of the IDPs.

Also, the Women Leader of Durumi IDP's Camp, Mrs. Liyatu Ayuba appreciated the federal government and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare for coming to their aids and promised to handle the materials appropriately. 

The drugs and essential health materials, worth millions of naira, were delivered respectively to each IDP's Camp Coordinators.
