The issuance of the first batch of offers of provisional allocation to outright subscribers of houses under the National Housing Programme (NHP) has commenced by the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Abuja
This was made known by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Marcus Ogunbiyi during a briefing at his office on Monday in Abuja.
Ogunbiyi disclosed that the issuance, which began in April 2024, follows a review of the conditions and procedures for the sale of NHP houses, in a circular (Ref. No. DPBH/645/1/43) issued on December 29, 2023.
He noted that several outright payment subscribers have completed their payments, while others have made deposits but are yet to finalize their payments.
The Permanent Secretary emphasized that subscribers under this first batch have a 90-day window to complete all payments.
“In light of this, the Ministry is notifying all first-batch outright subscribers who have yet to finalize their payments that they now have an additional eight weeks to do so,” Dr. Ogunbiyi stated.
He further warned that any subscriber who fails to complete payment within the extended grace period will have their offer revoked.
