AMOS ADAMU THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND SHEHU DIKKO'S LEADERSHIP AT NSC

The Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko has reiterated the commitment of the commission at restoring Nigeria's sports sector's lost glory.

He stated this when he received in audience, Dr. Amos Adamu, the former chairman of the NSC in his office on Friday 29th November at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium, Abuja.

It was a moment of nostalgia and camaraderie for both Mallam Shehu Dikko, the current chairman and the veteran sports administrator, Dr. Adamu Amos.

In his remarks, Dr. Adamu who played key role in organising the 2003 COJA All-Africa Games in Abuja threw his weight behind the new leadership of the Commission under Mal. Shehu Dikko, expressing confidence in his ability to transform Nigeria's sports sector. 

Dr. Adamu praised Dikko's leadership skills and vision, stating that Nigeria's sports sector is on the verge of reclaiming its lost glory under the new leadership. "The National Sports Commission under Mallam Shehu Dikko has the capability to restore Nigeria's sports sector to its rightful place," Dr. Adamu said.

In his response, Dikko acknowledged Dr. Adamu's long-standing contributions to Nigerian sports, emphasizing the importance of learning from Dr. Adamu's wealth of experience to further the commission's strategic goals. "Dr. Adamu is a veteran administrator whose experience in sports management and administration is invaluable. Nigeria sports can benefit greatly from his insights and experience as we work to transform the sector," Dikko stated.

The visit marked a significant moment in the NSC's efforts to transform Nigeria's sports sector. With the new leadership team in place, the commission is poised to take significant steps toward fostering collaboration and leveraging institutional knowledge to drive reforms. 

Dikko noted that the NSC is committed to restoring Nigeria's sports sector's lost glory, and with the support of veteran administrators like Dr. Adamu, the future looks bright.

A statement from the Director Information and Public Relations of the National Sports Commission, Kehinde Ajayi released to journalists late Friday evening in Abuja revealed.
