Acts of vandalism and sabotage that plunged states in Northern Nigeria into blackout, has continued to be a source of worry to the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu who has displayed strong commitment to ensuring stable electricity supply to all Nigerians. 

The Honourable Minister, as part of his commitment towards delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu's administration in ensuring that Nigerians enjoy quality and stable electricity supply on Thursday, October 31, 2024 embarked on a working visit to Kano region.

Apart from visiting the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) to engage with the core investor, Futures Energy and management, the Minister also visited the State Governor, Governor Abba Yusuf Kabir to engage the State on issues of cooperation with the Federal Government in order to ensure more participation in the sector in line with the 2023 Electricity Act.

The Minister also visited the TCN transmission Station in Kumbotso to inspect ongoing projects and also toured the Zawaciki 1Megawatts interconnected grid.
