Edo State Governor Lauds Umahi Over Adoption Of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) Technology .... Says Edo State Appreciates The CRCP Technology Due To Its High Water Table Levels

Minister of Works, Engr David Umahi and the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo when he visited the Minister on Monday in Abuja.

Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo on Monday paid a working visit to the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. (Sen.) David Umahi, to discuss recent developments in the state’s road infrastructure. 

During the visit, Governor Okpebholo praised the Minister for the ongoing construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and emergency repairs of Federal roads in Edo State. 

In particular, he commended the adoption of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) technology, which will significantly improve the quality of roads in the country. 

He said; “We have come to thank the Minister for the excellent work he is doing in the state. Concrete technology is benefiting us and the country, at large. We appreciate his efforts and that of the Federal Ministry of Works.”

Speaking further, the Edo State Governor acknowledged that the implementation of CRCP in key Federal road projects has greatly enhanced the durability and performance of roads. In response, the Minister expressed appreciation for the visit and thanked him for recognising the efforts of the Federal Ministry of Works. In addition, he formally congratulated Governor Okpebholo on his recent electoral victory and wished him continued success in his political career. 

Engr. Umahi also emphasised the importance of sustainable infrastructure solutions like CRCP, noting that such innovations align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration, which seeks to enhance the nation’s road networks for accelerated economic development.
