Ekpo Honoured For Driving Growth in Nigeria’s Gas Sector

Nigeria's Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo has received commendations for his unwavering dedication to national development, particularly in advancing reforms and progress within Nigeria’s gas sector. 


This commendation was bestowed on the Minister following a courtesy visit to his office from a delegation of the Society for Human Development and Integration in Nigeria (SOHDIN) to his office in Abuja, on Thursday, September 11, 2025.


The Minister was represented during the visit by his Senior Technical Assistant, Engr. Abel Nsa.


The SOHDIN delegation, led by its Chairman, Mr. Lordswill Umani, as a mark of appreciation, presented a plaque of honour to the Minister, acknowledging his notable contributions to good governance, energy sustainability, and human capacity development since assuming office.


Mr. Umani noted that Nigerians continue to place confidence in the Tinubu administration because of the Minister’s visible impact, which has strengthened public belief in the government’s efforts.


Responding, the Minister's representative expressed profound gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed the Minister's commitment to consolidating the Federal Government’s gas sector agenda, boosting national growth, attracting investment, and creating opportunities for citizens.
