TUNJI-OJO REAFFIRMS REFORM DRIVE AT INTERIOR MINISTRY AMIDST PRAISE FROM WORKERS

Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has restated that the Ministry remains committed to sustaining momentum in service delivery and institutional reforms in line with FCSSIP objectives.

Tunji-Ojo, while commending the staff of the Ministry for their dedication, resilience, and professionalism, described them as the driving force behind the Ministry’s achievements over the past two and a half years.

The Minister gave the commendation while speaking at the Ministry of Interior Town Hall Meeting, Reward and Recognition Award Ceremony held in Abuja, as part of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) 2025.

He expressed profound appreciation to staff for their unwavering support, collaboration, and sacrifices, noting that the occasion was not intended for lengthy speeches but to express gratitude. According to him, the peace, unity, and commitment that continue to define the Ministry are products of collective effort, adding that every award and recognition earned by the Ministry belongs to the entire workforce, not individuals at the helm.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo highlighted that significant milestones were recorded in 2025 but emphasized that progress must be continuous. Reiterating his philosophy of reform and development, he stressed that there are “no full stops, only commas,” as the Ministry remains committed to sustaining momentum in service delivery and institutional reforms in line with FCSSIP objectives.

The Minister also expressed deep appreciation to Mr. President for his consistent support, describing it as instrumental to the successes recorded so far. He noted that the President’s leadership style, anchored on innovation and reform, has created an enabling environment for the Ministry to pursue impactful initiatives.

The event featured a Reward and Recognition Award Ceremony aimed at motivating staff and reinforcing a culture of excellence, accountability, and performance across the Ministry.

The Honourable Minister concluded by wishing all staff a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, while encouraging them to remain steadfast, innovative, and committed as the Ministry advances its mandate in the coming year.
