A former chieftain of the People's Democratic Party PDP, Hon. Mohammed Shamsidin Ango Abdullahi has announced his resignation and membership of the party, citing a lack of political cohesion and its inability unify the country at large.
Hon. Mohammed Shamsidin Ango Abdullahi PhD, who was a member of the Hallowed Green Chambers of the National Assembly, had previously served as Commissioner of Agriculture in Kaduna state.
Dr. Shamsidin Ango Abdullahi, who submitted his letter of resignation to the Chairman of his political ward; Yakawada ward in Giwa local government area of Kaduna state, on Monday 5, January 2026, expressed hope that a democracy based on equity, fairness, and justice for all citizens will implicitly and explicitly thrive as a form of government in Nigeria, serving as a model for the world, given our natural and human resources.
He called for a peaceful country stressing that without peace, no nation can thrive or develop. He further reiterated his belief in the country's ability to rise out of its current challenges, warning that, unless the political class shuns poor leadership, bigotry and selfishness, those in position of power and in government will continue to have their way.
Speaking on the way forward, Abdullahi disclosed that the Alliance for Democratic Congress, ADC is well positioned to rescue the country from the grips of the present administration of the All Progressive Congress APC that has plunged Nigeria into hunger, poverty and chaos.
He however warned that come 2027, there will be no room for rigging, manipulation and negative vices in the election.
