TCN, Lagos State, FGN Power Company, Stakeholders Meet on Ibeju-Lekki Power System Improvement Project

A strategic meeting comprising of The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Lagos Region, led by the General Manager (Transmission), Engr. Mojeed Akintola, General Manager and the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the FGN Power Company, and other key stakeholders was recently held in relation to the commencement of the Ibeju-Lekki Power System Improvement Project.


According to e statement issued and signed by Ndidi Mbah, GM, Public Affairs of the Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN and made available to Naij News Alert in Abuja, "the meeting took place on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Conference Room of the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, was chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Biodun Ogunleye."

The statement revealed that "Discussions focused on project timelines, stakeholder coordination, and strategies for addressing potential implementation challenges to ensure the timely delivery of the project and improved power supply in the Ibeju-Lekki axis."
