Host Community Trust Fund Gets Stronger Push with New Federal Committee

The Federal Government has set up an Inter-Ministerial Committee to boost coordination and ensure strict compliance in the implementation of the Host Community Development Programme.
The committee was formally inaugurated in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Patience N. Oyekunle, alongside her counterpart from the Ministry of Regional Development, Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Ada Ogbe.
Designed as a collaborative and advisory body, the committee is tasked with strengthening synergy among key stakeholders and promoting seamless information sharing, in line with presidential directives.
Its membership comprises representatives from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Ministry of Regional Development, and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), reflecting a unified approach to advancing host community development initiatives.
