The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, has rejected allegations of managerial crisis and mass resignation of workers reported in some media outlets, insisting the staff exits were voluntary and part of an ongoing restructuring.

In a statement issued by Head of Corporate Affairs, Alexandra Mede, the Fund condemned a Sahara Reporters publication dated June 4, 2026, and demands by a coalition of civil society organisations as “without merit, and rooted in a deliberate misrepresentation of facts.”

“The NSITF considers both the publication and the demands arising from it to be without merit,” Mede stated.

Addressing claims of mass resignations and staff intimidation, she said: “There has been no mass resignation...” The Fund maintained that the departures cited were voluntary and aligned with its restructuring process.

NSITF urged the public and stakeholders to disregard the report, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and stable management.
