FCSC, JAMB Partner to Tighten Promotion Exams

The Federal Civil Service Commission has strengthened its collaboration with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board to ensure a transparent and credible conduct of the 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Examination.

The Chairman of the FCSC, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, disclosed this on Wednesday during a working visit to the JAMB headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.

Olaopa, who led a delegation of the commission to the examination body, met with the JAMB Registrar and members of his management team to review the ongoing partnership between both agencies.

The visit came shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 local-leg promotion examinations and focused on the deployment of technology, examination infrastructure and monitoring mechanisms to safeguard the integrity of the promotion exercise.

The FCSC delegation was also taken through JAMB’s technology-driven examination and monitoring systems, which the commission said underscored the importance of robust processes, transparency and accountability in the conduct of high-stakes examinations.

The commission said the partnership was part of its broader efforts to strengthen merit-based career progression in the Federal Civil Service.

It added that leveraging JAMB’s expertise and institutional capacity would help deliver a promotion examination that is fair, competitive, transparent and credible.

According to the commission, the collaboration is also aimed at upholding merit and professionalism in the Federal Public Service.
