REGAINS FREEDOM FROM EFCC
Embattled former Minister
of State for Defence under the immediate past administration of President Goodluck
Jonathan, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has regained his freedom from the EFCC.
The former Defence
minister under Jonathan’s administration who has reportedly refunded the N785
million a company, Sylvan McNamara Limited linked to him, purportedly received from
the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki to the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following his recent invitation and
subsequent arrest by the Commission.
In a Press statement
released by Jonathan Eze; media aide to Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, "It
delights us to announce that the former Minister of State for Defense, Senator
Musiliu Obanikoro has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC), this evening. We are however not resentful but
thankful to the Almighty for the gift of life and good health and the process
which began from his voluntarily turning himself over to the anti graft agency
and his subsequent release”.
