CONSCCIMA: Impacting on the Socio-economic Climate of Our Region and The Country, A Must........... SARATU ALIYU

The Organized Private Sector, OPS, through the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA has put in place, activities that will resuscitate the nation’s economy.

A robust programme by NACCIMA given rise to the emergence of the Coalition of the Northern States Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (CONSCCIMA), a regional organized private sector (OPS) body, with headquarters in Kaduna, comprising of the Chambers of Commerce in the 19 States of Northern Nigeria and FCT, Abuja recently elected a new crop of leaders to steer the ship of leadership.

Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu, a prominent member of NACCIMA; Deputy National President was elected as the CONSCCIMA Chairman during the 35^th Edition of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Royal Tropicana Hotel, Niger Street, Kano on Friday, November 18, 2016.

The new exco is expected to run the affairs of the organization for the next two (2) years.

Saratu Aliyu, a well respected ranking officer of NACCIMA expressed appreciation to the immediate past Chairman of the organisation, the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, mni MON, the Executive Governor of Jigawa state, for keeping and maintaining the tempo towards ensuring that the Private Sector is properly positioned in the scheme of economic activities in the Country.

She urged CONSCCIMA members not to relent in their individual and collective efforts in impacting on the socio-economic climate of our region and the Country, by making the Private Sector assume the status of being the major employer of labour and economic catalyst for development and social harmony.

The newly elected chairperson promised that her focal point points will rest on the following key main areas; without prejudice to what predecessors started.
