BREAKING: BUHARI RECEIVES ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY IN LONDON

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari who is on vacation in London and also recuperating from treatment received, has today Thursday played host to the iconic Archbishop of Canterbury Most Reverend Justin Welby at the Abuja House in London.

This much was confirmed by the President himself in a post on his social media pages just after the meeting.

"Very pleased to welcome my friend the Most Revd and Rt Hon Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, to Abuja House this afternoon", Buhari posted.

Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury is the Senior Bishop and Principal leader of the Church of England and is also the symbolic head of the worldwide Anglican Communion and the Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Canterbury.

The visit of the Archbishop comes just hours after the President called Nigeria to commiserate with former Ekiti state Governor, Niyi Adebayo on the death of his father.

It would be recalled that the last publicized visit President Buhari got was from his daughter Hadiza. Some chieftains from the ruling All Progressives Congress including the leadership of the National Assembly in the persons of Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara also visited Buhari.
