WE ARE WATCHING, Prince Agaga Tells Gov Okowa

PRINCE AKPOJOTOR C. AGAGA

With the clean sweep of majority of the states by the All Progressive Congress, APC in the 2015 General Elections including the presidency, except in the South-south region where the PDP still holds sway, a political stalwart of the APC has vowed that the “Change” mantra will berth soon in Delta state.

Making this assertion is Prince Akpojotor Christopher Agaga, a prominent community leader in Uvwie Local Government Council and also, the Principal Secretary to Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru.

According to Prince Agaga, the time has come to make a clarion call to all the men, women and youths of Delta State to help themselves and make the state government change the fortunes of the Delta people, positively.

Lamenting the poor economic status of Delta state despite the huge accruals from the Federation Account, Prince Akpojotor cautioned Governor Okowa against the monthly sharing of any fund which comes from Abuja among the cabal in the state which specializes in looting the resources of the people.

Can Okowa disappoint his godfather by not rehabilitating him with the money which is the patrimony of the people? Can Okowa disobey the temptation of using part of the Paris money to be part financier of the merger their faction is about going into in the next few weeks since it is on records that he, in partnership with the Governor of Rivers state, jointly contributed one billion naira each to finance the PDP governorship candidate for Edo state last year which they lost, woefully to the APC? Agaga queried.

Furthermore, DESOPADEC had never worked as an established entity since Okowa became Governor. The question one is compelled to ask is; what is the guarantee that it will still be looked unto as part of the institutions to gain from the Paris club fund?

“Ironically,I could give an answer to all their questions but instead, on behalf of the good people of Delta State, call on all our elders and youths to stop blaming President Buhari for the woes placed on us by field marshal Okowa.

However, we must not fail to realize that, our governor is the direct manager of our state and is always collecting funds and allocations including internally generated revenues from the federal government to develop our State monthly and as at this very moment is collecting about 150 Billion Naira of which, if shared sincerely, will alleviate our State from poverty and mental slavery”, Prince Akpojotor Agaga emphasized.

“My proposed sharing formular is as follows:-

1. Two billion naira should go to each of the 25 local government council making a total of 50 billion.

2.Pay all the outstanding salaries and arrears of all the civil servants in full up to the end of this month.

3.Upgrading all our primitive and outdated radio and television stations to international set standards. Also, create an enabling environment for the establishment of industries in the state.

4.Bringing back the Delta Boat Yard and the Water Transport business to life.

5.Making all the established health centres been seen as real providers of healthcare services to our people.

6.Rehabilitating all the primary and secondary schools which are in dilapidated state and have become haven for criminals and miscreants.

We must remember that this is not part of the continuous monthly allocations and 13 % derivation funds he always collect monthly, Agaga reminded.

“This is a call to fight for our rights and also to stop being deceived by this government that Buhari is the problem.Buhari has given us our expected money and it's now our collective responsibility to monitor and see the “Idi Amin who is a wolf wearing the sheep skin”, he admonished.

To whom much is given, much is expected, the Principal Secretary to Olorogun Great Ogboru stated.

The youths of Delta State must stop being fooled and learn to monitor our money. This is not about Great Ogboru but about me,you and our children, he warned

Finally,if our generation because of fear refuse to do it now,who then will do it for us and the coming generations yet unborn? He reiterated.

Prince Agaga in his admonition to the youths, stressed that, Buhari has done his part,it is now left for field marshal Okowa to do his part because, we are watching .
