The Honourable Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs Ministry, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani has charged Nigerians, especially residents of the Niger Delta region, to participate in the verification of all government projects and programmes belonging to the Ministry and the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC in their localities.
This, according to the Minister, is in keeping to the promise of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration of ensuring accountability and transparency in the running of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.

In a statement issued by the Director of Press in the Ministry, Marshal Gundu and signed personally by the Minister this weekend, Pastor Usani disclosed that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has received the approval of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs’ Technical Audit Report which was carried out to investigate all contracts awarded, projects and programmes embarked on by the Ministry since inception in 2009 to 2015.

“As part of this Government’s commitment to involve the people in the process of governance, the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs (MNDA) wishes to involve the Nigerian public in the Status Verification of all government infrastructures in the Niger Delta region”.

“The purpose is to determine the state of delivery of such infrastructures”, he said.

Pastor Usani added that people  could participate by simply  taking photographs  of projects  of the Ministry  of Niger Delta Affairs and NDDC  in their domains and indicate if the projects  are working, moribund  (no longer functioning, for those projects that were functioning before), or abandoned  (for those that have never worked).

He added that the Ministry could be reached with useful information through any of its social media platforms Facebook or Twitter @MNDA_NGMinistryofnigerdeltaaffairs, or by sending email to info@nigerdelta.gov.ng.
