2019: "PDP IS POISED TO LEAD NIGERIA AGAIN",............AMORI
This was the position of Senator Ighoyota Amori (JP) in an interview with NAIJ NEWS ALERT in his office at the Wadata Plaza, National Secretariat of the PDP, Abuja today.
Senator Amori, who is the Special Adviser to Senator Makarfi, the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee on Reconciliation and Conflict Management, stated that after the Supreme Court verdict in which there is "No Victor, No Vanquished", revealed that lessons have been learnt from the crisis that ensued in the past one year as it was a misunderstanding between family members which has now been resolved.
Senator Amori, who represented the good people of Delta Senatorial District disclosed that his loss of his people's mandate at the Supreme Court was as a result of judicial manipulation despite having received massive support and votes from his constituents in the eight (8) local governments of his Senatorial districts, losing in only two (2) wards which, incidentally, belonged to his opponent.
According to Chief Amori, the party has learnt from its mistakes and is poised to relaunch itself to its rightful place at the helm of affairs of governance at the national level.
Amori acknowledged that, yes there were grievances that resulted to the decamp of several members in the past but many of those who left have returned back to their base; the PDP as the party is the only true democratic party in Nigeria, he said.
He disclosed that the PDP is set to have a fully established"Reconciliation and Conflict Resolution Committee" which would be inaugurated soon, to cater for such matters in future.
Olorogun Ighoyota Amori, popularly referred to as "Odidimadi of Delta state politics, is a political strategist and highly respected and influential personality. He clocks 65yrs on 08th August, 2017.
