DECOMPOSING BODY OF MISSING FEMALE MAGISTRATE DISCOVERED IN HER CAR.....Police Investigations Ongoing
Days after having been declared missing, the decomposing body of a retired female Chief Magistrate has been discovered by neighbours.
According to available reports, already decomposing body of Magdalene Umoetuk, a retired Magistrate, was found inside the boot of her car in Akwa Ibom State.
The late Magdalene Umoetuk, who retired from the Akwa Ibom judiciary service, was reported missing only for her neighbours to discover her body on June 22 , three days after when they noticed flies hovering around the boot of her 504 car.
According to a report by Premium Times, the car was parked inside her compound at Ephraim Essien Street, Ikot Ekpene, near Anibeto Hotel.
The police visited the crime scene after the shocking discovery was reported.
The body has since been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Ikot Ekpene.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ikechukwu Chukwu confirmed the incident.
According to the PPRO, he said the case has been transferred from the Divisional Police Station in Ikot Ekpene to the State Police Headquarters for investigation.
