"You Know Next to Nothing About the Constitution",....... Ekweremadu Tells Kogi state Attorney Geberal
Nigeria's Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekwerenmadu has carpeted the Attorney General of Kogi state over what he described as Constitutional misinterpretation.
Senator Ekwerenmadu made this condemnation as he accused the Attorney General of the state of misrepresentation of the constitution by concerning the recall of Senator Dino Melaye, Kogi West.
Deputy President of the senate made this remark during Tuesday plenary expressing serious fears and reservation on the calibre of people the current administration in kogi is Parading
Ekwerenmadu advised kogi state House of Assembly to rise above board to check mate the growing constitutional breach perpetrated by the present administration of governor Yahaya Bello.
He said the Nigeria constitution is clear on the recall process of law makers both at the upper and lower house,saying the input of the national assembly in recall process is a corollary.
The deputy senate president sympathised with the people of kogi with the current Attorney general who knew nothing about the constitution but was recently listed among those to be conferred with senior advocates of nigeria (SAN).
He advised the state government to stop wasting public funds by fighting dirty,but to concentrate on payment of workers entitlement and pensioners owed several months.
'As a constitutional lawyer,I challenged the kogi Attorney general to a public debate on the workability of the Nigerian constitution and. It's amplications". He said.
