CATHOLIC CHURCH MASSACRE: ONO SORHUE CONDOLES ANAMBRA PEOPLE AND GOVT
Front line PDP chieftain in Delta state, Olorogun Eddie Ono Sorhue has commiserated with the good people and government of Anambra state, the Catholic Church and Nigeria over the Amakwu Ozubulu massacre which occurred Sunday morning.
Chief Sorhue in a brief statement issued on Monday, described the incident as unfortunate, barbaric and sad, wondering how people could initiate such an act in the House of Worship which has resulted in the loss of innocent lives.
"The attack on the Church is a sore point in our policing policies which needs to be addressed. The security agencies must endeavour to fish out the perpetrators of this dastardly act", he said.
The attack, which left several persons dead, including children has continued to receive condemnation from all Nigerians.
Chief Sorhue called for the repose of the souls of the departed while also, wishing the injured, who are in hospitals in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, speedy recovery.
