Senator Adeleke Disburses #250m Scholarship To Constituents As PDP Nat. Reconciliation Committee Storms Osun
National Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, CON, alongside other members of the Committee and some leaders of the PDP from the South-west zone last week, visited Osogbo, the Osun state capital in the spirit of the on-going reconciliation processes organized the party.
Also on the team were: National Organizing Secretary, Senator Abdul Ningi, Deputy National Secretary, Rt. Hon. Dave Iorhemba, and the National Woman Leader, Hajia Barr. Hadiza Adado Yusuf Yusuf.
Others include; the National Vice Chairman of the South-west zone, Dr. Eddy Olafeso, former Governor of Oyo state, Chief Rasheed Ladoja, Hon. Seyi Makinde, Chief Ebenezer Babatope and other party stakeholders of the zone.
The reconciliation team and other members of the party, in a show of support, attended a scholarship award ceremony organized by Senator Ademola Adeleke in his home town, Ede.
Senator Adekele, in fulfilment of his earlier campaign promises to his constituents, awarded N5Million to deserving indigent students in each of the Wards of his Osun west constituency amounting to the Sum of N250m.
At a "unity luncheon" organized in honour of the National Caretaker Committee Chairman for the successes recorded so far in Osun state by the Osun State Caretaker Committee led by Chief Ishola Sarafa, said it was worth celebrating the successes recorded in the reconciliation efforts.
Thanking the State Caretaker Committee for a job well done within a short period of time, Senator Ahmed Makarfi called on party members in the state to remain united and continue working together for the common good of the party especially in repositioning the PDP for success ahead of the Gubernatorial Election in 2018.
