SENATOR OMO-AGEGE EMBARKS ON THANK YOU TOUR OF WARDS IN UGHELLI NORTH LGA'
In appreciation of the support his constituents, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the NASS on Saturday, 30th Oct. 2017, embarked on a ward tour across Ughelli North LGA, appreciating the people for their unwaivering support and love towards him.
A statement from the Light of APC Delta state signed the Director, Mediaand Publicity, Elvis Ayomanor, the Senator during his thank you visit, asked the people to present to him what their pains are, what they are in dire need of, and want him to facilitate through the government.
The statement revealed that the people gladly enumerated their needs. While in some wards, the people said the reverse is the case, that they are the ones to appreciate the Senator for his good works and excellent performance as the "People's Senator".
The people of Ughelli North thanked Senator Ovie Omo-Agege for the things he has already done, ranging from the provision of new transformers and pipe borne water, etc. And urged him to try and see to the construction of roads in the Local Government Area.
Senator Agege, while assuring the people in his constituency of his readiness to take up all that they enumerated, to better their lots, promised to work very hard to see that the federal government brings in tertiary institutions like Federal University and a Federal Polytechnic to Urhoboland, stating that the best legacy parents can bequeath their children with, is education.
"Thus we must do everything possible to attract more higher institutions to Urhoboland to encourage the education of our children.
In the statement, the Senator further implored aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forth coming local government elections to brazen up for the task ahead.
Assuring the aspirants of his full support for them to take over the entire LGA; "from the chairman to the councillors, not one seat will be given out to the PDP, he said.
This confident statement ignited the people as they broke into chants and praises, singings song of victory, echoing the name of the Senator in Urhobo traditional song, who tey reard as the great leader and hero of Urhoboland.
The atmosphere felt like that of a community receiving their warlords who just returned from a war after defeating their enemies.
Truly the Senator is a commander of his people. Finally the Urhobos have gotten a man worthy of leading them to greater heights.
