"Prepare To Hand Over In 2019".......Sha'aban Tells El-Rufai
A frontline politician under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Sani Sha'aban has come down hard on the Kaduna state Governor, Nasir el-Rufai over what he has described as "poor handling of the wellbeing of the people and state".
Sani Sha'aban, a three--time gubernatorial candidate under three defunct political parties;the All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, Congress for Progressive Change, CPC and the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, has told Governor Nasir el-Rufai to prepare to hand over to a new governor in 2019.
Decrying the leadership style of Nasir el-Rufai as governor of the state, the former member of the House of Representatives, has charged APC members as well as electorates to get ready to change the government in 2019.
The former National Assembly member stated this while receiving a special delegation of APC loyalists at his country home in Zaria, Kaduna State.
"The way and manner the governor is running Kaduna State will not be accepted hence the need for change come 2019 if really we want the state to reclaim its political status”, he stressed.
"No one is happy or enjoying what is going on in the state administratively as well as in the political circle of the ruling APC".
According to him, people of Kaduna State deserve all rights to enjoy or be part of decision making on what will be a better future to them.
He cited an example on how workers are treated badly, teachers don’t know their fate, traditional rulers uncertain of their roles and politicians were imprisoned politically.
He charged them to remain focused and start making consultations and preparation for the trek ahead even as he expressed his commitment towards salvaging Kaduna State from “unprofessional government".
"The time has come; enough is enough, because, as a politician I have given enough time for the present government in Kaduna State but there is nothing to write home about. I am beginning to make comments, criticisms where necessary for government to adjust its style of leadership".
