INNOSON MOTORS BOSS; INNOCENT CHUKWUMA ARRESTED BY EFCC

Chairman of Nigeria's leading local automobile company, INNOSON Motors, Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma arrest' by the the country anti corruption Agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Tuesday, has raised questions from varying sectors.



However, the real reason why the chairman of Innoson Motors was arrested by the EFCC, has been revealed.

NAIJ NEWS ALERT's investigations reveals that Chief Innocent Chukwuma was arrested in his residence in the coal city of Enugu, South-east Nigeria.

Although, some concerned Nigerians who were in touch with happenings surrounding the automobile company boss had reasoned that his arrest was in connection with his lingering law case of his company with one of Nigeria’s new generation bank, Guaranty Trust Bank.

But, the EFCC has however, stated that the chairman of Innoson Motors was being investigated by EFCC’s Capital Market & Insurance Fraud Unit.

According to the EFCC, Mr. Chukwuma's arrest was effected, following his refusal to honour invitation by the Commission, having earlier, jumped an administrative bail granted him.

The anti-graft agency made this known via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Tuesday evening, where it revealed that, the automobile company's boss "mobilized six truckloads of thugs posing as staff of his company to his residence where they manhandled operatives".

The EFCC in its tweet said; "EFCC today arrested Innocent Chukwuma, popularly known by his company’s name, INNOSON, following his refusal to honour invitation by the Commission having earlier jumped an administrative bail granted him".

"Innocent Chukwuma is being investigated by EFCC’s Capital Market & Insurance Fraud Unit. Rather than honour the invitation, he mobilized six truckloads of thugs posing as staff of his company to his residence where they manhandled operatives. He’s being grilled by investigators", it added.
