Armed Men Strike Again In Kaduna...4 Killed in Sunday Morning Attack

No fewer than four persons lost their lives in the early hours of Sunday in Kaduna, following an attack by armed men suspected to be herdsmen with several others seriously injured.



A report monitored from Channels Television in Kaduna, reported that the four persons were killed after gunmen attacked local farmers in Bakin Kogi village of Kaninkon chiefdom in Southern Kaduna.

According to reports from Channels Television, it was gathered that the assailants who are suspected to be herdsmen carried out the attack at about 9:00 am on Sunday in Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

However, both the state government and police authorities have not confirmed the incident.

Jema'a Local Government Council had been one of the most hit in recent times by suspected herdsmen where so many lives have been lost since the renewed attacks began, culminating in severalloss of lives and many afraid to return to their farms.

In the Sunday morning attack, a resident of the area diaclosed that the gunmen had ambushed their victims as they were returning from their farm, opening fire on them, which resulted in killing of four persons but a fifth person described as a woman, sustained injuries.

"The sound of the gunshots created serious commotion and panic in the community, leading to many residents who were attending church service to flee to their homes out of fear of being caught in any attack.
