CRIME BUSTERS: NSCDC SMASHES MOTORCYCLE GANG IN KADUNA
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Kduna state Command, in its string determination to reduce crime in the state particularly, incidences of theft and other criminal acts to the barest minimum, has continued to record successes.
Operatives of the State Command have reportedly, arrested a criminal syndicate which specializes in snatching and stealing of motorcycles in Kaduna metropolis.
Making this feat known, the State Commandant, Alhaji Modu Bunu, who was represented by the spokesman Assistant Superintendent of Corps, Orndiir Terzungwe, said the three suspects including their kingpin who is an ex-convict, Nasiru Musa, were arrested at Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital with two stolen black Jincheng motorcycles and four fabricated master keys.
A statement issued by the Spokesman of the Command revealed that; "Nasiru Musa; aka Master, age 32years, Jibril Gambo, aka J-boy age 21 years and Ibrahim Ismail aka Cash age 24years, all male, were this week arrested in possession of two Jincheng motorcycles with four fabricated master keys by our operatives on routine surveillance duty in Kaduna metropolis".
"Investigation reveals that Musa who is the leader of the gang, also confessed to have been convicted by a Magistrate Court in Zaria where he was sentenced to six months imprisonment with N30, 000 fine which he paid after serving the term".
According to the suspects, the keys are fabricated at the cost N12, 000 each.
"We are going to charge them to court for criminal conspiracy and theft", Terzungwe stated.
"The command is calling on all law abiding citizens of the state to cooperate with the corps by reporting criminal incidence and those with tendency of causing breach of peace for appropriate actions in order to have a conducive environment", ASC Orndiir Terzungwe appealed.
