"Essence of Politics is All About Rendering Visible and Tangible Service to the People", Says Onuesoke.

The prevailing insecurity issues across the country which has resulted in loss of lives and property indeed calls for concerns by all well meaning nigerians.

Leading political analyst and one time governorship aspirant in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has said that "the essence of politics is about rendering visible and tangible service to the people".


He made this disclosure when members and executives of Atiku Care Foundation, Delta State Chapter, paid him a courtesy call at his n4gg international headquarters in Warri.

Onuesoke,  a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Delta state, also decried the spate of killings across the country by the marauding Fulani herdsmen.

"The essence of politics is all about services to the people; political power is derived from the people who sacrificed their right for the leader in return for services to them and, it is not meant to fool or manipulate the people".

"What we have today is the exploitation of the people through party politics where politicians seem too clever in manipulating the masses, to get votes and achieve power, which is their only goal, after which, they totally forget the people who sacrificed their right for them and begin to pursue their own selfish interest", Onuesoke stated.

According to Onuesoke, politicians seem to be perpetually out of touch with the realities on ground; people are suffering and the politicians do not seem to be concerned.

"The desire for service", according to former governorship Aspirant, "should be stronger than the desire for self in politics, hence leaders must be moved at all time, to deliver quality, tangible and visible service to the people as a basis for accountability", he added.

Onuesoke also decried the spate of incessant killings across the country, saying that it is an indication of leadership failure on the part of the Buhari-led Government.

"We are not telling ourselves the honest truth; the topmost priority of any government is the security of lives and property of the people but, when the contrary is the case, then such a government has failed to live up to it responsibility".

No doubt, with the incessant killings across the country by the marauding herdsmen, the Buhari led government has proven beyond reasonable doubt that they lack the capacity to deal with the issue, hence an indication of failure, he further stressed.

Earlier, the chairman of Atiku Care Foundation Delta State Chapter, Barr. Splent-Martins Buluku in his remarks, said that the visit was to build the needed synergy with Chief Sunny Onuesoke, being a very vocal and passionate advocate of good governance.

He also thanked Chief Sunny Onuesoke for his show of love and support towards the activities of Atiku Care Foundation, Delta State Chapter.
