Delta State Gov. Arthur Okowa, Ibori, Others Hail Chief Adiotomre @ 80
Delta state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa alongside Chief James Ibori and other leaders in the state gathered to celebrate Chief Michael Adiotomre on his 80th birthday.
Former Delta state Governor, Chief James Ibori, at the event, harped on leadership and integrity as he urged upcoming politicians to emulate the leadership qualities of Chief Michael Adiotomre and other political leaders who have excelled in their career.
Ibori stated this while speaking at the grand reception to mark the 80th birthday anniversary celebration of the celebrant on Saturday.
"Adiotomre, over the years sustained his integrity and honesty in politics", Ibori noted.
He added that, "politics, devoid of integrity cannot and will never stand the test of time".
"I have known the celebrant for many years and I attest to his partisanship, loyalty and have always stood his ground in matters of personal or group political interests".
"Chief Adiotomre is a tested and trusted politician which is why we shall continue to celebrate and accord him the respect and recognition due to a man of his calibre and pedigree".
"My sincere advise to young and upcoming politicians is that they should serve the people with all sincerity of purpose, especially fulfilment of electioneering promises anchored on good governance".
"I congratulate Chief Adiotomre at 80 and it is my candid prayers that the good Lord Jesus grant him longevity in good health, prosperity and greater wisdom for service to mankind", Ibori added.
Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa described Adiotomre as an astute politician with strong passion for progressive politics.
He further asserted that the celebrant has made his mark in partisan politics, a success story worthy of emulation by younger politicians who genuinely aspires to serve their people honestly and transparently.
"Our father, Chief Michael Adiotomre is a unique politician; a man of integrity and will always stick to his choices and group political interests no matter the odds and pressures from dissenting voices".
"On behalf of my family and the good people of Delta State, I wish Pa Adiotomre, long life, prosperity and greater achievements in life and politics", Okowa said.
The 80th birthday anniversary celebration of Chief Michael Adiotomre was well attended by top government functionaries, party chieftains, elected representatives and political appointees including; Delta PDP Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, Ethiope East Local Council Chairman, Chief (Mrs) Faith Majemite, et al.
The occasion was chaired by former Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof Andrew Onokeroraye.
