OPINION: 2019 PRESEIDENCY; WHO BEST CAN LEAD PDP….ON-SUN

I laugh at some leaders of PDP that think that Buhari is down and about to be counted out. I wish them good luck.
 

There is an ongoing nonsensical spinning that only a North West candidate can defeat Buhari in 2019. There is no ambiguity in understanding the voting pattern of North West. It's individual driven rather than origin of the candidate.

It smacks of intellectual laziness or outright mischief to focus on a North West candidate as the key to winning the zone, the entire North and the entire country.

The country is divided and this obvious truth cannot be wished away. What are the factors that will bring votes to the PDP across board?

1. Ability to restore the support of Northern Christians. Who among the candidates will the Northern Christians trust to stand by them without being pushed by entrenched interest groups? My answer is Atiku.

2. Who among the aspirants has presented a blueprint for restructuring of the federation in the interest of all the federating units?  My answer is Atiku.

3. Who among the aspirants will most likely spend a single term in office and ensure power returns to the South in 2023? My answer is Atiku.

4. Who among the aspirants has the listening ears of Northern political establishment?  Atiku of course!

5. Empirical research has shown that voters will tilt towards a candidate that can improve their personal economy. Only Atiku has demonstrated capacity in this regard.

6. Who has genuine financial muscle to withstand APC onslaught? Atiku!

7. Who has better name recognition than other aspirants?  Atiku!

8. Who among the aspirants can withstand political intimidation? Atiku!

9. Who has capacity to battle Buhari in South West?  Atiku!

10. Who can stop APC from rigging 2019 presidential election? Atiku!

With Atiku as presidential candidate, PDP will win the following Northern states if election is conducted today: Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba, Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, Kogi, Nasarawa and FCT. Niger and Sokoto states will be too close to call.

Without Atiku, PDP can only win Benue today. Taraba and Sokoto will become battleground states.

Ask yourself why APC and its media "lions" are attacking on Atiku.

I can go on and on. The presidential election is not a test of who can drink kunu, fura or tea better. It's a contest against an incumbent that is ready to bring down the house to ensure victory.

Conspire and deny Atiku the ticket and witness a humiliating defeat with the possibility of sweeping aside, of PDP governors in the South East and South-South.
