Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, Gets New CMD

The Federal Government of Nigeria in its quest to improve quality healthcare for the populace, has appointed a new Chief Medical Director for the Federal Hospital, Gombe, North East Nigeria.


A statement from the Director, Media and Public Relations of the Federal Ministry of Health, Boade Akinola (Mrs.) and made available to Naij News Alert, on Tuesday disclosed that, President Muhamadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. Yahaya Saidu Alkali as the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe.
Theappointment of Dr. Yahaya Alkali, according to the statement, will run for an initial term of four (4) years, with effect from 15th October, 2018.
The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, while congratulating the new CMD, called on him to imbibe the spirit of team work to ensure that the hospital continued to provide quality healthcare service to Gombe State and its environs.
He urged the entire staff of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, to cooperate with the new CMD with a view of improving the quality of services in the Hospital.
