Wild jubilation erupted in Ebrumede, a Community in Uwvie Local Government Area of Delta State following the arrival of a new Divisional Police Officer, DPO to help tackle the emergence of crime and criminality in thr area.



The new DPO, Anietie Eyoh, a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP described as dogged and a no nonsense crime fighter, was until recently posted to the Divisional Headquarters arrived the community to assume duty.

Indigenes of the community who are aware of his exceptional track record in combating crime and criminality, were full of excitement and positive expectations with his posting as the rate of criminal activities in the hitherto peaceful community, was becoming alarming.

According to a community leader and former President General of Ebrumede Community, Olorogun Comr. Godfrey Okoloba, the people are expressing their appreciations to the Delta State Commissioner of Police for sending CSP Eyoh to rescue them from the hands of the miscreants who have been operating in the community with little or no resistant.

"Now that CSP Eyoh has arrived, I am sure my people will breath a sigh of relief. My people will now sleep with their eyes closed, having the assurance that someone is keeping watch over their lives and property", he said.

Another member of the community and an Igbo leader, Chief Augustine Okoye, applauded the wonderful and pragmatic DPO while promising that they will give  their full support to the Police in fishing out the criminals from their various hideouts.

He therefore enjoined all well meaning residents to cooperate with the new leadership of the Police to enable him replicate his developmental prowess in the area.

He added; "I am aware of the wonderful and gigantic structure he put up in ‘B' Division Warri and we will give him whatever support he requires to do the same here".

CSP Eyoh who is popular for his dedication and strict adherence to upholding the ethics of his calling while dealing with criminal minded persons and also, the physical development of any place he is posted to, was recently redeployed from ‘C' Division Asaba, to Ebrumede.

The new DPO is reputed for his application of hi-tech equipment in tracking and combating crime and is rated second to none in the entire region.

Sources desrcibe CSP Eyoh as one exceptional officer who excels in all assignments and is regarded as a terror to criminals and those with criminal tendencies.

"He has been involved in the cracking of high profile crimes in the state including the rescue efforts of lots of kidnapped victims including apprehension of the syndicate who specialize in killing and collection of arms of policemen".

"True to his rating, in less than 48 hours of his arrival in the community, he has embarked in constant raiding of all the criminal hideouts and made lots of arrests", the sources disclosed.

"Some criminals in the area are beginning to relocate now and running to places where they can operate without being molested. No wonder some watchers always say that “the fear of CSP Anietie Eyoh is the beginning of wisdom for criminals and those with criminal tendencies", the sources concluded.

Even as the people of Okumagba Estate area of Warri and Cable Point/Ogbe Ofu in Asaba are mourning over his redeployment, the residents of Ebrumede in Uwvie are now counting their joy as signs of relief and succour are on sight.
