BREAKING: EL-RUFAI'S ABSENCE; Deputy Governor-elect Swears In Transition Committee, Inaugurates Self
Against the yet to be explained absence of Governor Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai since the past one week, his running mate in the Governorship elections of March 09, 2019, Hadiza Balarabe has sworn in herself and other members of the Transition Committee.
The inauguration ceremony which had Governor el-Rufai and his incumbent Deputy Governor, Bala Barnabas Bantex absent, has sent tongues wagging in the state capital especially as the event was held inside the Council chambers of the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House (Government House), Kaduna.
This action of Dr. (Mrs) Hadiza Balarabe, inaugurates the Kaduna State Transition Committee at the Council Chamber of the Government House Kaduna State today.
To keen observers in the state, the decision by Mrs Hadiza, who is Deputy Governor-elect and is also, a part of the Committee she inaugurated to take up the task of inaugurating the Committee which she chairs, has raised up many serious questions considering that both Governor el-Rufai and his outgoing deputy who responsibilities it were to have performed this task, were conspicuously absent.
Key actors in the state spoken to, have asked under what authority, is the Deputy Governor-elect Mrs Hadiza Balarabe exercising this authority considering that she has not been sworn-in.
