Kaduna Central Senatorial Update: PDP Candidate Secures Court's Permission For Inspection Of Election Materials
Following the outcome of the February 23rd National Assembly elections, the last has not been heard concerning the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as some aggrieved candidates have since headed for the courts to seek redress.
With the controversies trailing the results as announced by INEC, the PDP candidate for the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Lawal Adamu Usman has approached the court where he has secured permission of the court to inspect the election materials used for the National Assembly elections.
With the elections for the Senate concluded and Uba Sani of the All Progressive Congress picking the seat, Lawal Adamu Usman believes that the exercise, to a large extent, has been fraught with irregularities and as such, through his lawyers, Yunus Ustaz SAN, requested for permission to inspect election materials in the custody of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Popularly known as Mr. LA by his teeming supporters in the state, the PDP candidate reportedly enjoys widespread acceptability amongst all category of persons in the state due to his humility and philanthropic nature with over forty thousand women and youths beneficiaries of his skill acquisition and empowerment programmes.
INEC, in compliance with the Court order, has given the legal team representing Mr. LA access to its materials in the Kaduna office.
The order from the Court was obtained through an exparte motion filed by the legal team which was led by Yunus Ustaz SAN, at the Presidential and National Assembly Elections Tribunal sitting in Kaduna.
