"JOAN OKORODUDU, STOP TRAFFICKING YOUNG GIRLS UNDER THE GUISE OF BEAUTY PAGEANTRY", Elsie Halima Ijorogu Reed Counsels

Joan Okorodudu, wife of the embattled supposedly BSO Coordinator in Delta state, AVM Terry Okorodudu has been counseled to retrace her steps in her indulgences especially in the trafficking of teenage girls under the guise of beauty pageantry.

This sound and wise counsel came from concerned stakeholders following Joan Okorodudu's failed attempt to persuade top aides of President Muhammadu Buhari to assist procure visas for her teenage girls under the guise of attending pageants overseas.

According to top internationally recognized IT expert, Elsie Halima Ijorogu Reed, "the trafficking in persons, especially young teenage girls, fall contrary to NAPTIP Act and many other international laws.

Trending stories in the social media have reportedly revealed how one of the models of Joan Okorodudu narrated her experience while working as a model with Joan.

"I shared a small room with four girls during my stay in South Africa", Marcia Okhai, first runner-up in the Next Nigerian Super Model contest in 2008 and a former model with Joan Okorodudu‘s Isis Modeling Agency.

Reliving her experience in an interview, Miss Okhai disclosed how she met Joan Okorodudu in 2008 where she asked me to contest in her next pageant, Nigeria‘s Next Super Model 2008, she revealed that, as Furst Runner-up in the 2008 NNSM, but was suspiciously sidelined.

"I was supposed to get a contract with her agency, ISIS Models, in South Africa. I was to represent Nigeria at the Best Model of the World contest in Turkey and get a chance to walk at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week in February of 2009 but Joan didn‘t make preparations for my visa for Best Model of the World until the last minute. It was the same with New York Fashion Week. I was in South Africa without a work permit or legal visitor‘s visa, so there was no way I could go to the American embassy to apply for an American visa".

She revealed how feeding throughout their trips became an issue.

"That was why I looked upset in all the pictures I took on that day".

Against international laws, Joan Okorodudu reportedly seized the traveling passports of the young girls in a bid to compel them into doing her bidding.

"She seized our passports at the airport while we were waiting for whoever was going to pick us to where we would be staying. We had no work permit and in South Africa you need a work permit/work visa if you intend to work".

Survival while im South Africa became tough as one could hardly feed, Okhai narrated.

"We all had to start calling our parents to send us money, which should not have been. It was our understanding when we were going to South Africa that we were going to work".

"To worsen matters, if you want to transfer money to a non-citizen in South Africa, you need valid documents, which we didn‘t have. To get past that, you would have to send money through relatives or friends who were coming to South Africa or take the risk of sending the money through Joan herself. I had to ask my adopted father, Mr Chris Aigbe, for money. I specifically told him that if there was no one coming to South Africa from Nigeria, the money should not be sent. I told him I would manage until I came home for Christmas".

An emotional Miss Okhai revealed that, "Whenever parents sent money through Joan, she would make deductions and give their children little or nothing. She would say she was deducting her house rent, visa fee and all sorts of expenses. Meanwhile, we paid for all these things before we left Nigeria. When we paid for our visas, our accommodation and sundry things were paid for. Since we were at her mercy, she would tell us we paid for only three months, we didn‘t pay up to one year and all that".

"It was more like himan trafficking as Joan usually arranged a marriage or relationship visa for her models".

This issue brought into the fore, the true reason why Joan Okorodudu became angry and ossinly, why she is blackmailing Loretta Onochie, a top aide of .President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media.

Investigations have revealed that Loretta Onochie had refused to assist her take  these little girls out of the country under the guise of modelling only to seize their
 their passports on arrival.

"That is mordern day slavery", Elsie Ijorogu Reed lamented.

"Employers should not keep the passports of their foreign workers or foreign domestic workers (FDWs). They should also not force their workers to give them their passport.
The passport belongs to the bearer and the issuing authority of the bearer’s country of origin", Ms Reed noted.

"According to the Passports Act, it is an offence to keep or withhold any passport which does not belong to you. That is mischievous and disheartening".

Speaking on how funds purportedly meant for the running of the affairs of the Buhari Support Organizations, BSO, were allegedly diverted by AVM Terry Okorodudu, husband of the embattled Joan, a ranking member of the BSO stated emphatically that the BSO is not a platform to share money meant for either elections or other activities.

"It is obvious that the single reason why a lot of people tagged along with BSO was to share election money and because that didn't materialize, they want tear down the heavens in the name of BSO", the official stated.

"In their anger and frustration, and desperate attempt to heat up and destroy BSO, they have decided to cook up stories about election money given to BSO".

"The BSO Women and youth campaign team also handled what was given to it and gave report of their electioneering activities and disbursement, so what is the problem?", he queried.

"The N5m from Olorogun Otega Emerhor to Delta BSO through Lauretta Onochie has since been given to BSO national before the election. For those who still dream of the N5m in Lauretta Onochie's account, check with the national and wake up", the ranking officer disclosed warning also that, for those who are still nose deep into the issue of money of election that has passed, BSO should not be used as a platform to cause any confusion. We have moved on since election.

BSO Secretary in Delta state, Victor Bezi appealed to all "true Buharist' to recall that, "we have protected BSO all these years and as such, we shouldn't allow money mongers and shallow minded BUHARISTS to derail the good that is to come".

It was also revealed that the very desperate AVM Okorodudu and wife do not know how to be Buharists because they are not.

Confidential reports reveal also that "Okorodudu also told Dr. Mahmood, National Coordinator of the BSO that someone donated some money to BSO which turned out to be ₦20,000,000, although he told me ₦17,000,000. He was asked to hand the money to me for onward transmission to BSO", the source revealed.

"Till date, the money entered voice mail. Dr Mahmood said he called him recently to ask why the money was not remitted to me, Okorodudu now claimed the money was a promise and not yet given to him. Dr. Mahmood insisted to him that there's a difference between "Someone donated" and "Someone promised to donate" and that what Okorodudu told him was that someone DONATED".
