URHOBOS IN BURKINA FASO CONGRATULATE DSP OMO-AGEGE

The Deputy Senate President of the 9th Assembly of the nation's highest legislative Chambers, Olorogun Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta state has been hailed following his victory on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 with a wide margin, over his fellow contender.

Making this known on Thursday evening in Burkina Faso, President of the Urhobo Progress Union Burkina Faso chapter, Chief Ochuko Patrick Otoba described Olorogun Omo-Agege as a true representative and worthy son of the Urhobo nation.

Chief Otoba noted that, "UPU Burkina Faso, together with all its members and in collaboration with the South South people in Burkina Faso, congratulates our illustrious son, Chief Ovie Omo Agege on his newest electoral victory when he emerged as the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria of the 9th Assembly".

"It is a giant step in the history of Urhobo Nation and we are proud to be associated with Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege", the Urhobo leader in Burkina Faso stated.

Chief Otoba also congratulated all Deltans for this landmark achievement describing the victory as a victory for all.

"This is an opportunity for all Deltans including the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District as it will further attract quality developmental growth to the state in terms of federal presence".

The UPU leader in Burkina Faso hailed the Smart Agenda Governor, Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for his re-election for another term of four years.

He commended the Governor for his exemplary leadership qualities and exceptional developmental strides and achievements in all the three senatorial districts of the state.

Chief Otoba, who is widely known for his fight against trafficking in girls especially cross border girl-child and child abuse, is the founder of  a Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, the National Association for Fight Against Human Trafficking; LUTRA-JEUNES which has its international headquarters in the French speaking country.

LUTRA-JEUNES has brought about the rescue of a huge number of girls who were being trafficked to foreign lands and their eventual reconciliation with their families a with converted efforts made to see to their proper rehabilitation.

Chief Ochuko Patrick Otoba, is a philanthropist, politician and community leader, both at home in Delta and Burkina Faso.
