CRITICS OF AYADE ARE BLACKMAILERS LOOKING FOR APPOINTMENTS … Francis James Etuk

“Ayade is a very determined individual who wants the best for the good people of Cross River state".

"It will be unfortunate if anybody thinks Cross Riverians will fall for their pranks and determination to give outsiders the wrong narrative as it relates to the Governor and his wife, Dr. Linda”.

Following media attacks believed to have been sponsored by some persons in Cross River state who have made it their tasks to daily criticize and attack the person of Prof. Ben Ayade and his wife, Linda, a group of concerned youths under the aegis of Coalition For Better Governance have condemned the attacks describing it unsavoury and a disservice to the visionary and exemplary leadership of Governor Ben Ayade.

Making this known recently in a statement issued in Calabar, the Cross River state capital, leader of the Coalition, Comrade Francis James Etuk described the entire package as a smear campaign by some losers who want to use these attacks to blackmail the ebullient and wave making governor throw appointment their way or provide financial assistance to them.

“Democracy does not work like this and it will be unfortunate if anybody thinks Cross Riverians will fall for their pranks and determination to give outsiders the wrong narrative as it relates to the Governor and his wife, Dr. Linda”.

Etuk, in a statement said many persons who had earlier benefitted from the kindness of the governor towards empowering them, have, out of their individual and collective greed to be the only ones benefiting from the government, have decided to gather together and launch a smear campaign against the Governor at any given time.

According to the leader of the Coalition, “Ayade is a very determined individual who wants the best for the good people of Cross River state and his developmental strides are evidential of what he proposes to provide and has been providing in the last four years of his administration and, it is a given that, the next four years will see about greater development in virtually every sphere of human life in Cross River state”.

“We are not unaware of the activities of these persons but we must also remind them of their dubiousness and past which is not unknown to us, the youths of the state. Many of these people claim to have evidences and facts of atrocities committed by the governor but have not been able take such facts and evidences before the court or even the authorities”.

“This is unacceptable, condemnable and shameful for anyone who truly wants the best for the state. If the governor is doing something that will benefit the generality of the people, why attack him? We are not against constructive criticisms from anybody if it will promote good governance and socio-economic growth and development to the good people of Cross River state”.

“These are political layabouts in search of selfish and personal personal gains at the detriment of all. We shall no longer tolerate this ‘Pull Him Down’ syndrome and dirty propaganda including outright lies and misinformation that they have chosen to adopt in a bid to create fear and panic that will cause a bad picture of the state to local, state and national observers including the international community”.

Comrade Francis James Etuk enjoined these fifth columnists to instead, join hands with Governor Ben Ayade and all other well meaning stakeholders to purposefully, develop and make Cross River state, the
pride of the people.
