As the world celebrates the International Youth Day, Nigeria's Youth Ambassador, Mr Ossai Ovie Success, who was the youngest appointee of the Okowa led government, at the age of 23, has described the Governor Okowa Government as a "Youth Friendly Government".

Ossai, who made this known in Asaba, noted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's administration in the past years has empowered thousands of youth under the "State Job Creation Scheme".

According to Ossai, the "State’s Job Creation programmes" has affected thousands of Delta Youths and has made them millionaires.

"The Governor Okowa led administration has never disappointed Delta State Youths because of youth inconclusiveness".

The truth be told, due to the prudent management of resources by Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, over 40,000 unemployed youths  have been transformed into owners of businesses and employers of labour in the Okowa’s job creation scheme, he said.

"Since August 2015, when Gov Okowa launched the Job and Wealth Creation Scheme with the following programmes viz; Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP), Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP), and Production and Processing Support Programme (PPSP), over 40,000 jobs have been created both in the private sector, making the youths self employed", Mr Ossai said.

He added that, "Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has also given appointment to countless number of youths. Today we have a youth as a Commissioner for Youth Development, not just that, we still have others as Commissioners under the Governor Okowa led administration", he said.

Ossai called on youths to be law abiding for the purpose of building peace and harmony.
