ILLITERACY IN THE NORTH: “Northern Leaders Not Willing To Provide Qualitative Education” ….. Sheikh Ahmad Gumi
"Stop living in presumed paradise amidst poverty and
rancour", Gumi tells Northern Leaders.
"Northern leaders are not willing to provide
qualitative education for the people because of their greed".
“Jonathan and Buhari are not
good for Nigeria because they lack the proper education to steer the affairs of
the country”.
Vocal and fiery Islamic
cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, known for his open and honest criticisms of those
saddled with leadership, has lashed out at the duo of former President Goodluck
Jonathan and his successor in office, Muhammadu Buhari.
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi said that
both former President Goodluck Jonathan and incumbent President, Muhammadu
Buhari are lacking in proper education to steer the affairs of Nigeria.
The Kaduna based cleric stated
this recently when he received popular Christian Prophet, Isah El-Buba, the General
Overseer of Evangelical Bible Outreach Ministry International, (EDOMI), who was
on a visit to Kaduna, Thursday.
According to Sheikh Gumi, the
masses are expressing their anger following the high level of poverty in the country.
He said: “the people are poor today;
all the kidnappings, banditry and armed robberies, among other are ways of the
masses to express their anger about the system”.
He advised that unless the
elites limit their show of opulence and unbridled wealth, they will soon be
paying for their mischief.
Gumi stressed that “Unless the
elites who are mostly politicians stop living in presumed paradise amidst
poverty and rancour, they would soon be paying for their mischief”.
Decrying the high rate of
illiteracy in the north, the Islamic cleric added that northern leaders are not
willing to provide qualitative education for the people because of their greed.
According to him, “Jonathan
and Buhari are nor good for Nigeria because they lack the proper education to
steer the affairs of the country”.
