NRC Managing Directors’ Wife Kidnapped In Benin

filtering in reports that the wife of the Managing Director of the Nigerian
Railway Corporation (NRC), Francisca Okhiria has allegedly, been kidnapped in
Benin, Edo State.
Mrs.
Okhiria, according to available information, was said to have been trailed from
Airport road in the city centre by the hoodlums before being accosted at the
entrance of her house in a deadly and violent manner.
The
armed men who were said to be in police uniforms, first opened fire severally
before abducting her to an unknown destination. The daredevil kidnappers, who
were trying to get away with their victim, reportedly shot and killed an
innocent military man who was standing by the roadside.
The
reports revealed that the woman was taken through Airport road where the
kidnappers had allegedly stationed their boat at the bank of Ogba river.
As
at the time of filing in this report, the kidnappers were yet to make any
ransom demand. The police have already stepped up an action to rescue the woman
unhurt.
When
Tribune Online put a call through to the phone of the NRC Managing Director,
Engineer Fidet Okhiria, his phone was picked by someone else who stated that
the MD cannot speak for now, and also pleaded that the NRC MD should be left in
peace at the moment.
