The Legal Year 2019 Magazine, a legal publication by LKS Seminars, in its 2019 edition, has listed Wola Joseph in its Top 50 Listings of General Counsels in Nigeria.

Ranked 11th out of the top 50 general counsels in Nigeria, Wola is the Chief Legal Officer of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), Lagos state, Nigeria.

The recognition comes on the back of several achievements and milestones reached by the cerebral counsel.

A statement from EKEDC, reveals that Wola has vast experience in Nigerian and international corporate law and finance and, a great deal of professional experience in the international power sector space.

”She has led teams to structure and negotiate several syndications and cross-border financing transactions and has been instrumental in the development of effective strategies for ensuring the success of transactions locally and internationally”.

Wola Joseph holds an LLB from the Nigeria premier Institution, University of Ibadan, a BL from the Nigerian Law School and an LLM from the prestigious Harvard Law School, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, fellow of the Institute of Credit Administrators, a member of the American Bar Association, member of the Institute of Directors, Harvard African Law Association and  Harvard Women’s Law Association.
