DEJI ADEYANJU HOSPITALIZED IN DUBAI

Human Rights Activist and political commentator, Deji Adeyanju who was injured in an attack while protesting the continued incarceration of the Convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore few days days ago, is reported to be responding to treatment in an hospital in Dubai, UAE.
Adeyanju, it will be recalled, had led a team of activists to the premises of the Human Rights Commission to submit their letter of condemnation of the continued detention of the #Revolution Now when some youths who claimed to be defenders of democracy, purportedly, in support of the Buhari regime, attacked the activists led by Deji Adeyanju, inflicting bodily harm on his person.
Reports available to this medium disclosed that the injuries were said to be greatly injurious and life threatening which led to Adeyanju being flown abroad for urgent medical attention.
Speaking to Naij News Alert from the hospital bedside of Deji Adeyanju in Dubai, a strong critic of the General Buhari regime, Comrade Timi Frank, who is a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, APC, disclosed that the human rights activist is being attended to by doctors at the hospital and that he is responding to treatment and, all things being equal, will in the next few days, be able to make a statement.
According to Frank, the action of the sponsored thugs who attacked Deji Adeyanju, were working the script of their pay leaders who do not really appreciate the cause Deji is fighting which is to ensure good and quality governance for the generality of the society.
"We have a regime in place that is opposed to freedom of speech and association. Nobody will criticize the Government if it is doing the right thing but unfortunately, we have people who are scared of their own shadows and want to be dictatorial in every of their action. This is not acceptable and we must join all well meaning Nigerians in speaking truth to government".
Tasked on the release of Sowore and Dasuki by the Federal Government, the former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary noted that, the release of the two detainees is a Greek gift which must be viewed with suspicion.
"Nigerians must be on the alert following the release of Dasuki who has been in detention since 2015 based on allegations by the Buhari regime. Sowore's case is something we are all aware of and we must also not forget that a court of competent jurisdiction has taken a stand on the matter. A democratically(?) elected government will respect the court judgment and if not satisfied, will take the appropriate step which is to appeal".
"We call on the United States, the UK, the European Union to impress upon the members of the Buhari regime to follow due process and also, place a travel ban on all those identified as oppressors of the people who seek to voice out their dissatisfaction with this regime".
