BIZARRE BUT TRUE: Self-Confessed Wizard Found Inside Car With Padlock and Keys

This
may sound very bizarre to many but for the residents in Ikhuewn community, in
Benin City, the Edo State capital; it was real and scary penultimate week.
According
to reports, residents of the community were woken up by an alarm raised by a
fellow resident, simply identified as ‘Papa Benjamin’ when he stepped out of
his house on Tuesday morning to check on his car, to discover a man locked
inside the same vehicle he had personally locked the previous night, before
going to bed.
The
alarm, which a high pitch, caused residents to quickly rush out of their homes
thinking a thief had been apprehended but to their shock, discover that
supposed “thief” was none other than a man identified simply as Success, a
self-acclaimed wizard, sitting comfortably on the driver side of the car.
On
interrogation, a mild drama ensued following claims by the self-acclaimed
wizard as he claimed to have come from heaven.
According
to an eyewitness, the incident attracted a huge gathering to the strange scene
following when they opened the door of the car only to discover that the fellow
was with a padlock and keys.
“The
car was opened and Success was found in the car with a padlock and keys. He
initially pretended to be deaf and dumb but started speaking immediately a slap
landed on his face by the neighbors who had assumed he was a car thief”.
“On
further interrogation, he confessed to being a wizard from heaven and was
sent to move the car out of compound at midnight but was prevented from
achieving his aim by kids he saw in the compound”, the witness said.
When
called to come to the scene of the strange incident by the owner of the car,
the police reportedly refused to show up, insisting that the case was that of
witchcraft and they wanted no hands in it.
The
self-confessed wizard, Success, was then taken to the palace of the Enogie
(Chief) of the community for further questioning, the eyewitness said.
