Authoritatively, news trending across the social media space, states that the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Aminu Abdullahi Shagali has resigned his position.

The resignation letter

Honourable Shagali, while as Speaker, is the member representing Sabon-Gari Constituency, according to available reports, officially submitted his resignation letter to the Clerk of the House this morning.

No official reason has been given for his resignation as at the time of publishing this story, but information gathered reveals that members of the House had begun the collection of signatures for his impeachment and therefore took a quick decision to bow out, owing to pressure and wise counsel.

Confirming his resignation, Honourable Tanimu Musa, Chairman, House Committee on information disclosed that the Speaker submitted his resignation letter today.
