DSP AGEGE STORMS COUNTRY HOME OF SENATOR AMORI.

"His Thanksgiving is across party line because, he is now No 5 or 6 in the country as Deputy Senate President. He is an Urhobo and the first Urhobo man to attain such a position. It calls for appreciation to God and he is doing it in a Catholic way. I AM A CATHOLIC"...... Amori

"Every Urhobo man or woman, irrespective of his or her political party has the same Urhobo agenda for 2023".

"True Friendship goes beyond political leanings, affiliation and party lines".

Many have described the very cordial relationship between Senators Ighoyota Amori and Ovie Omo-Agege as one devoid of rancour, envy and malice in spite of their different political affiliations and leanings that should be emulated by all.

With their friendship spanning decades and still waxing strong despite the fact that one lost his senatorial position to the other, neither has allowed it affect their bond, firstly as proud sons of the Urhobo nation and secondly, as grounded political leaders with the genuine desire to deliver quality and sustainable development to their people.

To again show to their supporters that politics aside, their mutual relationship will continue to stand the test of time, both political giants met over the weekend when Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the incumbent Deputy Senate President of the Senate and his political family visited Senator Ighoyota Amori, the "Odidimadi of Africa" at his country home in Mosogar in Ethiope Local Government Council of Delta state.

It will be recalled that Senator Amori had lost his senatorial seat in the Upper Chambers of the Senate following a Supreme Court decision, to Senator Omo-Agege but the duo have however, shown that their relationship supersedes political interest.

It is also interesting to note that in politics, especially in the political circuit in Nigeria, "there is no permanent enemy in politics, only permanent interest", which must be pursued consistently to a logical conclusion.

Speaking with Naij News Alert, Olorogun Amori in response to inquiries as to how united the Urhobos are, ahead of 2023, the " Odidimadi of Africa" stressed the Urhobos are very united on 2023.

According to Chief Amori, "Every Urhobo man or woman, irrespective of his or her political party has the same Urhobo agenda for 2023".

"It is a religious belief and we are very committed to it. No going back. NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER", he stated.

Asked to react to his alleged endorsement as the candidate of the Urhobo for the 2023 Gubernatorial contest, the top PDP stalwart who is widely respected in the political circuit responded thus;

"Endorsed as the candidate of the Urhobos? Nothing like that at all. 2023 is still far".

According to Olorogun Ighoyota Amori, "DSP only came on courtesy visit and to invite me to his Thanksgiving coming up on Sunday 23rd at Mother of Redeemer Catholic church, Effurun".

"His Thanksgiving is across party line because, he is now No 5 or 6 in the country as Deputy Senate President. He is an Urhobo and the first Urhobo man to attain such a position. It calls for appreciation to God and he is doing it in a Catholic way. I AM A CATHOLIC", Amori stated.
