Law Students Association Hails Ganduje.... Says Appointment of SA on SDGs, Laudable

The Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been commended for his recent appointment of Habib Yahaya Hotoro, as Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs.

Giving this commendation is the National Law Students Association of Nigeria, NLSAN in appreciation of the laudable achievements in the education sector in the state and nation.

The association, in a statement signed by its President, Emmanuel E. Nwobodo, described the appointments, especially that of an incredible personality in the person of Habib Yahaya Hotoro, as Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals to His Excellency, Gov. Ganduje, as laudable.

The statement, which was made available to newsmen in the state, noted that, "By this appointment, H.E, Gov Ganduje has demonstrated again, his ability to spot talents, hard-work while also, exhibiting the courage to bring young breeds into politics and mentoring them for future leadership responsibilities".

According to the statement, "It is evident that His Excellency, Governor Ganduje has set a very high bar and achieved tremendously in the areas of education (which is free, compulsory and qualitative at primary and secondary levels in the state), Health and Human Development just to name a few".

The Association, in its statement, further disclosed that it is undeniably proud of Habib Yahaya Hotoro and his achievements so far.

"He brings over a decade of experience nationally and internationally from; NCC, HP and BT, where he received the BT Bronze award just to mention but a few".

Mr. Nwobodo in the statement, further revealed that, Hotoro, in 2019, served on the Kano Transition Committee inter Alia and, in 2020, appointed as Senior Special Assistant and elevated in just three weeks to the rank of a Special Adviser.

The NLSAN President thanked the Kano state Govermor for his courage, dedication and drive to take Kano to greater heights.
