Middle Belt Youths Consultative Forum President Talks Tough Over Killings.

With women being celebrated across the globe, the President of Middle Belt Youths Consultative Forum, Honourable Zachariah Sunday Diwong has congratulated the women of the Middle-belt region for witnessing another 8th of March; a date set aside to celebrate women annually.

Honourable Diwong, gave this congratulatory message in a statement issued in Kaduna during a visit by some indigenes of North Central of Nigeria resident in Kaduna.

The President of the Middle Belt Youths Consultative Forum, in his statement, noted that the visit by the women, was timely as it came immediately he returned to Kaduna from the “Jos 2020 Youths Summit”; a conference of middle belt youths, organized by Middle Belt Youths Council.

The Middle Belt Youths Council meeting which was well attended by Nigeria leaders, had in attendance, the youths friendly Federal Minister of Technology, Chief Ogbonaya Onu among other top dignitaries.

Speaking with some media practitioners on the sidelines of the meeting, Hon. Diwong disclosed that the women came to narrate the harrowing experiences and ordeals that they as women, are passing through in mini-war ravaging areas in Middle Belt region of Nigeria.

The Youth Council President revealed that the women of the region are in agony, saying;

“The Middle belt women have pleaded with us to rally youths and other good spirited Nigerians to help solve security problems in most of the North Central States of the country that have been facing challenges of insecurity”.

Honourable Z. S. Diwong who was highly composed and obviously so conscious in order not to be emotional, in his response to the women who became emotional, encouraged the women with soothing words.

“The middle belt youths under the umbrella of Middle Belt Youths Consultative Forum will do something drastic including the intelligentsia, to address the increasing number of widows in the North Central region soonest”, he stated.

He further assured them that with no further delay, the Middle Belt Youths Consultative Forum will commence moves in unison with some states chief security officers and our gallant Nigeria security operatives and other well meaning Nigeria to check the rascality of some of us.

He assured them that some of the programmes of the Middle Belt Youths Consultative Forum programme are aimed at providing care for widows and women in general and that this will be unveiled in the second quarter of the year 2020.

Diwong thanked the women for their and for their confidence in God and love for youths as he implored them to renew their faith in Nigeria and support the government of their home states with information that will help bring to an end, the unwarranted killings in Nigeria.

He further told them to be good ambassadors of the Middle Belt whilst in Kaduna State and they should be law-abiding citizens of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“You can contribute your widows' mite by paying your tax to the government of Kaduna State and REMIT some amount of money back home to your relatives and friends”, he stated.

On a final note the youth leader said; “if Nigerians can collaborate against these dastard killers the way we dealt with ebola, we will end bandits, insurgency, crime and criminality in North Central before August 2020”.
