The Sector C 1 from Ossissa to Ogwashi-Uku and C11 from Ogwashi-Uku to Asaba road projects in Delta state, South-south of Nigeria, will be completed in March 2021.

This was the revelation of the Delta state Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye, while fielding questions from journalists in his office in Asaba on the activities and programmes of the government in the state.

According to the Honourable Commissioner of Works, the Governor Okowa-led government was fully committed to completing all awarded projects before the end of the life span of the administration.


“Work is on-going in all the sites, as contractors have mobilized fully back to site. The sector C1 and 11 of the project which was initially awarded to ULO, had been re-awarded to CCECC and the contractor is on site and work is progressing is very well”, Aguoye stated.

The Works Commissioner while disclosing that funds would not be a problem for the completion of the project, reaffirmed that the state Governor was committed to his promise to pay contractors as soon as job certificates were raised for work done.

He commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for being committed to infrastructural development in the state, saying, “The government is doing very well and will continue to improve on that”.
