Chief Solomon Ogba, has been described as an astute politician and Sports Administrator of no mean repute.

The Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr. (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe extolled the positive virtues of Ogbah in a goodwill message to mark his 60th birthday anniversary, adding that the inestimable contributions of the celebrant will be remembered for a long time to come, in the world of sports.

He said Ogbah worked round the clock, together with the Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Tony Okowa, and committee members to ensure the huge success recorded during the hosting of the African Senior Athletes meet in Asaba in 2018, an event that placed Delta State, Nigeria and Africa, in enviable global sports focus without blemish.

"Chief Ogbah is a rare gem who worked tirelessly for the development and growth of sports in Nigeria and by extension, Africa, during his prime moments as sports administrator and scribe of various local and international bodies.

"In the political arena, he remain a strong member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  a trusted political associate of His Excellency the Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, and a shining light in Isoko Nation politics. He is a humble and effective leader with high sense of humour.

"I pray God to grant Chief Ogba, good health, prosperity and longevity to enable him enjoy the fruits of his labour, divine wisdom and more  insights to consistently contribute positively to the socioeconomic and political development of Delta State and Nigeria”, Oghenesivbe prayed.
