A United Nations, UN, Volunteers Group - Global Good Governance Ambassadors Forum, GGGAF, has inducted the Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Barrister (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, into its Hall of Fame as 'Ambassador' on Wednesday July 8, 2020.
The International Nongovernmental Organisation, said Oghenesivbe's induction as one of the Forum's Ambassadors in Sub Sahara Africa, is in recognition of his candid efforts in projecting democratic governance through multifaceted political communication strategies, deployment of superlative creative writing skills and adherence to professionalism in media politics.
Secretary General of GGGAF, Ambassador Sarsi Tua, in a special induction message, said Latimore's recognition is closely connected to published articles in the global information highway, as well as, his tenacity in the propagation of policies and programmes of government, intellectual contributions in political and public affairs programmes on radio and television stations in Nigeria, monitored by GGGAF’s African regional office.
The induction, which coincided with the 61st birthday anniversary of Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, was performed by Ambassador Temisan Louis, Regional Officer, Nigeria Office on behalf of GGGGAF Secretary General.
In line with the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Covid-19 protocols, and to guarantee safety, the induction was moved to the Board Room of Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, and was attended by the Acting General Manager of DBS, Pastor Malcolm Oteri, and some senior managers of the service.
In his brief remark after the induction ceremony, Gov Okowa's EA Communications, Ambassador Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, thanked GGGAF for considering him worthy for the exalted position, and was particularly happy that the event coincided with the 61st birthday anniversary of his boss the governor. He subsequently dedicated the Award to God Almighty and His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
In his congratulatory message to Oghenesivbe on behalf of management and staff of Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, the Acting General Manager, Pastor Malcolm Oteri commended his intellectual ingenuity, tenacity and hard work which has consistently placed him ahead of his contemporaries in Strategic communication and media politics.
Oteri thanked the state governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for giving Oghenesivbe the enabling environment and necessary support to perform his assigned responsibilities without bottlenecks which has enabled the EA Communications to shine forth among his pearls.
"This event coincided with our amiable governor's birthday anniversary which makes the induction of EAC Oghenesivbe a memorable event. We wish Gov Okowa excellent health, longevity and divine guidance as he pursues his God given Stronger Delta vision, for the benefit of all Deltans.
"We are also very happy because our boss, the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Hon Charles Aniagwu, and 21 others were on Tuesday discharged from Covid-19 Isolation centres. We thank God for his life and the life of others who were discharged with him.
"I urge Deltans to adhere strictly to Covid-19 protocols so that government can achieve its objective of stopping the spread of the virus.
"We shall continue to pray for the quick recovery of our dear governor, first lady and their daughter, as well as SSG Barrister Chiedu Ebie, infected by the virus.

Since assumption of office in 2017, as pioneer Executive Assistant on Communications, Oghenesivbe had so far received a total of eight (8) Awards and induction into Global Good Governance Hall of Fame as Ambassador.
He is obviously the political appointee with the highest number of Awards in Gov Okowa's administration.
